Eligibility

  • MD, DO or equivalent in the last 2 years of their final oncology subspeciality training.
  • Be within 10 years of obtaining their medical degree.
  • Have a valid, active medical license.
  • Be working in an oncology laboratory or clinical research setting.
  • Be an ASCO member.
  • Current appointment must allow 60% research (total).

Description

Young Investigator Award (YIA) in Pediatric Brain Tumors provides funding to encourage and promote quality research in focus areas of pediatric brain tumor research, with the goal of advancing the understanding and treatment of pediatric brain tumors. The purpose of this award is to fund physicians during the transition from a fellowship or training program to a faculty appointment.
