Eligibility
- Must have an MD, MD/PhD, PhD, DO, MBBS or equivalent.
- Assistant professor within 5 years of first faculty appointment.
- MD and MD/PhD must be within 10 years of terminal research degree or end of post-graduate clinical training, whichever is later.
- PhD must be within 10 years of terminal research degree.
- Must commit 75% of time to all research activities.
- Cannot be a PI of a K99/R00 or other independent competitive award (ie: RO1)
Description
The “A” Award is designed for the early independent career scientist who wants to establish a career in pediatric oncology. The ideal candidate has an original project, can demonstrate outstanding career development support from the institution, and has a strong future commitment to pediatric cancer investigation.
