Eligibility

  • Early-career diabetes investigators: MU can nominate 2 total from 2 categories:
  • Initiator must be a postdoctoral fellow or research fellow within 7 years of training. Cannot holda K99/ROO grant.
  • Accelerator most hold faculty positions.
  • Accelerator applicants may currently hold independent NIH funding, but must not have applied for, or received, an R01/U01 renewal or a second R01/U01 award.

Description

The Accelerator Award is designed to support exceptional, independent early-career researchers who have distinguished themselves as promising investigators and are in the beginning stages of establishing successful, sustainable diabetes research programs.
