- For MD, no more than 7 years from completion of clinical training.
- For PhD, no more than 7 years from degree.
- Must have AGA membership.

Research Scholar Awards support early-career investigators working toward independent and productive research careers in digestive diseases by ensuring that a major proportion of their time is protected by research.
