Eligibility

  • Hold a full-time faculty position
  • MD, MD/PhD, DO, DDS, DNP, DSW, PharmD, PhD, PsyD, DVM Must have an active clinical license, and participate in clinical care.
  • Applicants may also be board-certified clinical medical physicists
  • Have not been the PI of an independent extramural research grant that is more than 1 year AND more than $100k direct costs, including multi-PI awards
  • May not have been a PI on another individual development grant
  • Must developed 50% of time to proposed project and training

Description

The Clinician Scientist Development Grant (CSDG) supports faculty with clinical responsibilities but without an independent research program to become independent investigators as clinician scientists. Clinician scientists are investigators licensed to provide clinical care and trained to conduct research.
