Description
One-year grants will support platforms to detect early-stage cancers (Stage 1 and 2) before treatment to improve patient outcomes in smokers. The applications should suggest modalities alternative to DNA-based and blood-based assays such as RNA in saliva, protein analytes in urine, and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from breath. Assays from other bodily fluids will also be considered.
